    Adult’s Naturalization
    To the Honorable the Judge of the Superior Court of King County, State of Washington:
    The Petition of Alfred Alin Solberg a native of Norway Respectfully Shows:
    That your petitioner is an alien and is desirous of becoming a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; that in pursuance of an Act of Congress entitled “An act to establish a uniform rule of Naturalization and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on the subject,” and the supplements thereto, he made a declaration of his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, before the
    Clerk of the District Court, of ? Judicial District Washington Territory
    On the 10 day of July A. D. one thousand eight hundred eighty eight, a certificate whereof is hereunto annexed, and that he has resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States for five years at least, last past and within the State of Washington one year at least, last past, and that he has never borne any hereditary title, or been of any of the Orders of Nobility in the Kingdom or State whence he came. He therefore prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States.

    Citizens of the United States, who being duly sworn according to the law, say that they are well acquainted with Alfred Alin Solberg the above named petitioner, and that to their certain knowledge he has resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States for five years at least, behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.

    I, Alfred Alin Solberg, the above named petitioner, do, on my solemn oath declare, that the content of my petition are true; that I will support the Constitution of the United States; that I do hereby renounce and relinquish any title, or order of nobility to which I am, or hereafter may be entitled; and that I do absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to Oscar II King of Norway and Sweden whereof I was before a subject.
