I solemnly swear that I was born at Stavanger, Norway on August 2nd., 1866; that my father, Jonas Jonassen, was born in Norway and is now residing at Deceased; that I emigrated to the United States, sailing from Stavanger, Norway about Mar. 31st., 1885; that I resided 36 years uninterruptedly, in the United States from 1885 to 1921 at Michigan; That I was naturalized as a citizen of the United States before the Circuit Court of Menominee at Menominee, Michigan, on Feb’y 13th, 1894, as shown by the Certificate of Naturalization presented herewith; that I am the IDENTICAL PERSON described in said Certificate, that I have resided outside the United States since my naturalization at the following places for the following periods: None
and that I am domiciled in the United States, my permanent residence being at Hart, in the State of Michigan, where I follow the occupation of Jeweler

J. J. Jonassen, 69, Hart Jeweler, Dies
Death Follows Heart Attack.

Hart July 24.—(Special)— Joseph J. Jonassen, 69 years old, prominent jeweler here for about a Quarter of a century, died at his home today following a heart attack suffered 10 days ago. Mr. Jonassen had been retired the past five years.
Born in Svenja, Norway, Aug. 2 1865, Mr. Jonassen came to the United States 52 years ago. He had been a resident of Hart since 1909.
Since his retirement, Mr. Jonassen had spent several winters in i Florida. He had returned from Florida only a month ago.
Surviving are a son, Earl M. Jonassen, who is now operating the jewelry business founded by his father, and a daughter, Mrs. Robert Billings, of Jackson. The funeral will be held Saturday. |
