  	Oliver Albert Foss Oliver Albert "Ollie" Foss, 88, died of natural causes on February 23 at his home in Suey Creek Canyon. He was born October 23,1926 in Seattle, Washington. He was a resident of rural Santa Maria since 1983, formerly of Palos Verdes, California. He was employed by North American Rockwell International, now Boeing, for over 32 years. He worked in Engineering and Facilities, and was Manager of B-l facilities when he retired and moved to Suey Creek Canyon in 1983. In his life, he was a son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a boss, an engineer and an artist. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him. He was as good as it gets. Survivors include his daughter Adrianna Foss of Santa Barbara; his stepson Matthew Foss of London; stepson Todd Andrews of Auckland, New Zealand; and grandchildren Madeleine Paige Schmidt and Nathan Penn Schmidt, also of Santa Barbara. Mr. Foss was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sharon in 1999, and by his sister Florence Kennison in 2004. Cremation was requested and a private memorial service will be held at the family ranch at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Save the Redwoods League.
