I was born in Grimstad, Norway on the 1 day of February, anno Domino 1860; I now reside at 42 1st Place, Brooklyn, N.Y.
I emigrated to the United States of America from Grimstad, Norway on the vessel Nordenskjold?; my last foreign residence was Grimstad, Norway; I am a Widower.
It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to Haakon VII, King of Norway, of whom I am now a subject;
I arrived at the port of New York, in the State of New York, on or about the 30 day of April, anno Domini 1896. I am not an anarchist: I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permanently reside therein: SO HELP ME GOD.

Thomas Abelson, a marine painter, died Saturday in Kings County Hospital. He was a life resident of Brooklyn and was a member of Local 679 of the Painters Union. He is survived by a cousin, Magnus Andrews. The funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. tomorrow at the funeral chapel of Joseph Redmond, 90 King street. Interment will be at Linden Hill Cemetery.
